Dreadeye Wins Week 3 of Grandmasters Tour
The Hearthstone Grandmasters is a seven-week competition where the 16 best Hearthstone players from each region challenge each other for weekly prizes. Each week has a tournament comprised of Group Stages on Thursdays, Decider Matches on Fridays, Top 8 single elimination on Saturday, and the Semifinals and Finals on Sunday.
Two members of Hype Horizen are in that elite group of players — McBanterface and Dreadeye. In week 3, both members won their group stages, guaranteeing a seat on Saturday, then won again to secure a spot in the semifinals, where they, unfortunately, had to play each other.
In a close match of similar decks, Dreadeye won 3-2 to move onto the Grand Finals to face LunaLoveee. The Grand Finals were just as intriguing a series. Dreadeye won the first game convincingly in a mirror match of Quest Warlock. Luna responded with a convincing win in game two, with her Quest Shaman building quickly vs. Dreadeye’s Weapon Rogue, but Dreadeye rebounded with a hard-fought victory in game 3, his Weapon Rogue vs. Luna’s Handlock. Game 4 featured a battle of Demon Hunters, Luna playing Fel, and Dreadeye playing Brutes. In another close game, Luna came out on top.

For the final game of the Grand Finals, it was Dreadeye’s Brute DH vs. Luna’s Handlock. Difficult decisions and a very close bout, but Dreadeye prevailed, taking the Week 3 tournament!
Week 4 starts on Thursday, with the Decider Matches broadcast Friday on the Hearthstone Esports YouTube page.
